Metallography

The Metallography Department of the Institute of Material Science is equipped with modern and extensive equipment for the targeted preparation of almost all metal samples and subsequent light microscopic imaging. This results in all possibilities of metallographic microstructure analysis, such as interactive measurement, including the structure and thickness of surface layers, grain size and grain shape determination, particle and porosity fraction analysis, qualitative and quantitative microstructure analysis and purity analysis.
