On November 17, 2025, the “Mädchen*-und-Technik-Kongress” (Girls* and Technology Congress) took place at the Mechanical Engineering Campus in Garbsen. Female students in grades 7–10 had the opportunity to explore the world of mechanical engineering through various projects. This year, the IW participated for the first time with two projects. In addition to the existing “Metal Fauna” project, in which the students welded creative animal figures from wire, nuts, and bolts, the “Girls* Shape Technology” project enabled them to produce casted medals of aluminum for the first time. All of the finished workpieces were then proudly taken home.
