Thermogravimetry, differential thermal analysis (DTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)

Differential thermal analysis (DTA) can be carried out at the Institute of Materials Science to determine characteristic temperatures. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) is also used to determine caloric values such as heat of fusion or crystallization according to the heat flow principle. The high sensitivity of the DSC sensor is also guaranteed at temperatures above 1500°C. The electromagnetically compensated, top-shell microbalance is characterized by high precision and a resolution in the sub-µg range as well as excellent long-term stability. Samples weighing up to 5 g can be analyzed.
