Unser Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt bei den metallischen Werkstoffen.
Materials science deals with the development and investigation of materials for the construction of machines, systems and equipment. The construction of increasingly complex technical systems places very high and ever new demands on materials. At the Institute of Materials Science, interdisciplinary teams work on these challenges both in basic research projects and in application-oriented projects, often in cooperation with national and international partners from industry, universities and non-university research institutions.
