Development of Resorbable Implants

In addition to materials development, the development of implants that are tissue-friendly and fulfill their intended purpose is one of the main areas of focus here. This includes, for example, the design of stents and bone implants as well as process development for the manufacture of open-pored bone grafts made of resorbable magnesium alloys. The development work is supported by modeling and simulation approaches (e.g. casting simulation).
