Rolling, Roll Cladding and Roll Forming

The effects of rolling and straightening processes on the properties of sheet materials with different crystal structures are investigated on magnesium, aluminum and titanium alloys. Roll cladding enables the production of two-dimensional material composites or sandwich-structured composites from various foreign metals. Roll forming is used to form steel, aluminum or magnesium strips into hollow sections and is locally reinforced by the process-integrated expansion of foamable semi-finished products made from aluminum or magnesium alloys.
