Hardness and Microhardness Measurement

In addition to hardness testing methods on various components using Brinell (DIN EN ISO 6506), Vickers (DIN EN ISO 6507), and Rockwell (DIN EN ISO 6508), the Institute of Materials Science also has a microhardness tester. This enables, for example, hardness profile and hardness mapping on ground samples, as well as hardness measurements on individual microstructural components, thin layers, or thermochemical surface treatments.
