The metallography of the Institute of Materials Science is equipped with modern and extensive facilities to systematically prepare almost all metal samples and subsequently conduct light microscopic examinations. This enables all possibilities of metallographic microstructure analysis, such as interactive measurements, including the structure and thickness of surface layers, determination of grain sizes and shapes, particle and porosity analysis, qualitative and quantitative microstructure analysis, and purity level analysis.
