Pulse Current Treatment

If a metallic material is subjected to high-density electrical pulses during a forming process, the flow stress can be reduced. Through a suitable selection of pulse current parameters, challenging-to-form materials such as nickel-based superalloys or magnesium can be formed in the cold state.
