Linear accelerator

Linear accelerator (LINAC) for non-destructive material testing. With this X-ray facility at the IW, large mechanical components with a thickness of up to 400 mm can be examined for defects with high imaging quality. One advantage of LINACs is, among other things, that the energy and type of radiation can be much better adapted to the application compared to what is possible with radioactive sources.
