Arc welding technology

Various arc processes (MIG/MAG/TIG/plasma) are investigated at the Institute of Materials Science. The mechanical properties of welded joints are investigated using robot-guided experiments on joining seams and additively constructed structures. Inoculants and fluxes are used to influence the resulting microstructure.
