Automated Underwater-Testing

By means of our water test basins, ultrasonic or eddy current tests can be performed automatically with the help of a gantry manipulator. Via the control computer and the axis control, the X-, Y- and Z-axis can be manipulated as desired within the maximum travel range and their position can be recorded by means of a 2-axis encoder. The experimental stand can be used, for example, to test for defects within the welds in a wet environment. Surface defects or discontinuities in the material can also be detected by means of a surface scan with encoders.
